George Whitefield College
George Whitefield College (abbrev GWC) is a Christian theological college which is Anglican and evangelical situated in Muizenberg, Cape Town, South Africa, and is named after the 18th-century English evangelist George Whitefield.
GWC Is An Accredited Theological College Based In Cape Town, South Africa.
GWC equips Christian men and women for ministry in Africa and the rest of the world.
They offer engaging programmes in Theology, the core subjects being Doctrine, Biblical Languages, Church History and the much neglected discipline of Biblical Theology.
One of the distinctive features of GWC is the advantage of living in a diverse community of some fifteen African nationalities.
GWC stands under the authority of Holy Scripture as God’s infallible revelation of himself to human beings, culminating in his becoming a man in Jesus Christ. Their programme therefore aims to deepen the students’ understanding of the total message of the Bible, to develop their capacity to relate to the many complex situations of modern life, and to train them to minister the Biblical message effectively to the needy world.
This is accomplished by educating people in the principles of Christian knowledge and related fields; and by training people for Christian life and ministry with an emphasis on the teaching the Word of God.
That Africa be filled with preachers and teachers who deeply love the Lord Jesus and who have a profound understanding of Scripture, in order that Africa may increase its share in the Kingdom of God.
To shape minds via a classical theological education, nurture hearts devoted to Christian service and train voices to effectively communicate the word of Christ.
